Eve Herndon, in an article on the Cornerstone University website, writes that “soft skills and emotional intelligence are quickly climbing the ranks of important and sought-after abilities across industries. Technology and business practices continue to evolve so quickly that set skills take a backseat to the ability to constantly learn new ones…From teamwork to curiosity to work ethic to empathy, today’s most qualified candidate is better at reading a room than reading a textbook…
