World Forum 2009
May 20, 2008
All that we love deeply becomes part of us.
-Helen Keller
Since the closing session of the 2007 World Forum in Kuala Lumpur, the World Forum Foundation has been searching for the site of the 2009 World Forum. Cities in nine countries on five continents have been considered and carefully researched. By now we had hoped to be able to announce a decision on dates and location. However, the slumping U.S. dollar has made this an especially difficult process. Since the World Forum pays for meeting space, food, and other services in U.S. dollars, putting on this event has suddenly become much more expensive. Nevertheless, we have narrowed our search to two locations and hope to be able to announce our selection in mid-June.

It is not too late, however, to enter the "Where in the World will the World Forum 2009 be held?" contest on the World Forum website. Tell us where you think the 2009 World Forum will be held, and if you are the first to pick the correct city, you will win a free registration to the 2009 World Forum. Contest ends on June 6.
