A Moment of Joy on Monday

As the quote from Thich Nhat Hanh implies, sometimes we must become the source of our own joy. Our world is certainly facing uncertainty right now AND it is still filled with love and beauty. We each have the power to seek out joy and share it with those around us today.

Here are a few of our favorite quotes to help us all focus a bit on the goodness of life as we start our week.

From the poet, Rumi: “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”

Susan Polis Schutz’s encouragement: “Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair.”

Well-known words from John Keats: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s advice: “Music…in times of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you.”

This quote comes from one of our Exchange books, The Art of Leadership: Leading People: “Organizations led by heart-centered leaders become interdependent, mutually supportive, and joyful.”

And one more from Rumi: “Sorrow prepares you for joy. It violently sweeps everything out of your house, so that new joy can find space to enter.”

As you go about your life-changing early childhood education work this week, in whatever way you are doing it at the moment, remember that you deserve joy every day. And it is there waiting to be discovered.

Funny how in this era of medical crisis that - they can control the whole world. Keep me out of work, keep people out of national parks, off hiking trails, stuck in apartment buildings where they are not able to get the healing power of the earth.

Hope you all celebrated Easter and thanked God for this amazing body that he provided us. Because God has been trumped by Medical Science. So lets pray at the altar of the Great Meds of the world who are saving us from all these pandemics. Oh yeah wasn't that Bill Gates who is providing guidance. He is going to develop a vaccine that will save us. (Satan get behind me)

God Help us is all I can say. Mean while we will happily eat our McDonalds and allow men to treat animals like pieces of rock in factory farms - do you teach children that these words go together.

Honor the earth and help out great organic and now regenerative farmers help heal the earth -

Stop infecting our world with GMO things that are poisoning us (JEFFERY SMITH - been warnings us) and of course all the chemicals that go along with all this.!

We are becoming the dumbest species on the earth.
