World Forum IOC Member Receives IberoAmericano Award
May 7, 2004

"And so our mothers and grandmothers have, more often than not anonymously, handed on the creative spark, the seed of the flower they themselves never hoped to see--or like a sealed letter they could not plainly read." - Alice Walker

WORLD FORUM IOC MEMBER RECEIVES IBEROAMERICANO AWARD

At its recent congress in Peru, Consejo IberoAmericano awarded Vera Lucia Melis Paulillo from Sao Paulo, Brazil the prize for "Education Excellence/Early Childhood."  The award recognizes the fruitful work of  Ms. Melis on advocacy and children's projects in Brazil.  She is a member of International Organizing Committee of the World Forum on Early Care and Education, consisting of three early childhood leaders from each continent, which shapes future plans for the World Forum.
