Don’t Take Word-of-Mouth Referrals for Granted

Do not assume that the other fellow has intelligence to match yours. He may have more.
Terry Thomas

“Word of mouth referrals have been proven to be the most effective way to enroll new children in your program,” asserts Roger Neugebauer, one of the many experts in the Exchange resource, Building Enrollment. “Yet most programs take word of mouth referrals for granted…If you really want to be effective in building program enrollment, you really need to think about how you can stimulate word of mouth…

Of course the best way is to get your current parents to be your marketing force. Most parents – if they really value the services you provide – and most parents do – want to give something back to you. And so, if you were to ask them to spread the word about your center, they’d be more than happy to do so.”
