Something to Lift Your Spirits

Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight.

A Message from Nancy Rosenow, Exchange Publisher:

Dear Exchange Community,

If you’re looking for something to lift your spirits, I highly recommend visiting Bonnie’s Global Café on the World Forum Foundation website. It is curated by Bonnie and Roger Neugebauer, the retired co-founders of both Exchange Press and the World Forum Foundation who are now serving as World Forum Foundation Global Impact Engineers.

Here’s a great post to begin with. Bonnie and Roger’s yoga instructor, Christen Allsop, from Cannon Beach Yoga Arts, joined the World Forum community on July 1 to lead everyone in a chair yoga class focusing on breathing, stretching, relaxing, and calming. I think you’ll enjoy it!

If you haven’t yet read Holly Elissa Bruno’s new book, Happiness is Running Through the Streets to Find You: Translating Trauma’s Harsh Legacy into Healing, I also recommend that as a way to give yourself a dose of inspiration. Reading about Holly Elissa’s journey to triumph over adversity provides a roadmap we all might choose to follow!
