Study Links TV Viewing and ADHD

STUDY LINKS TV VIEWING AND ADHD

The current issue of Pediatrics (April, 2004; http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/) reports on a study finding that early television exposure is associated with attentional problems at age 7.   The researchers surveyed data on 1278 children at age 1 and 1345 children at age 3. Ten percent of these children had attentional problems at age 7. A significant predictor of ADHD was hours of television viewed per day at both ages 1 and 3.

My name is Robaer Washington. I am in the process of preparing to do some field research on television viewing and its effects on how it correlates to ADHD in Senegal, West Africa. I would like to know if there was any way possible you could help me out. If so, my email is [email protected]. Please email me if you have any information. Have a blessed day.
